The ultimate objective was to preserve the natural appearance of the concrete rather than give it a sheen that could yellow, peel or crack with exposure to weather and UV. With this knowledge, PPG advised them of 4G Surface Guard which works by penetrating porous mineral surfaces producing a hydrophobic and oleophobic surface that resists grime and graffiti and yields long-term preservation.

In the Summer of 2020 City Hall became a frequent target of graffiti vandalism. After extensive cleaning and testing with the aid of conservation experts 4G Surface Guard & World’s Best Graffiti Coating were specified to protect all vertical surfaces susceptible to further vandalism. 4G Surface Guard was specified on stairs, landings and paved courtyards to ease the burden of cleaning graffiti and grime from these surfaces without affecting the slip resistant properties of the surface.

This 16-story high mural proudly covers the entire west side of the  Pierside Santa Monica hotel which is situated opposite the world-famous Santa Monica Pier. MuralShield was specified to protect the mural against the elements including UV sunlight, weather and salt spray. The application process immediately brought out the beautiful color palette which will endure for many many years to come.

UHILL Walls, Durham North Carolina is an amazing public art project that features over 40,000 square feet of murals by a diverse group of local, national and international artists. MuralShield and World’s Best Graffiti Coating were specified to protect and preserve these artworks in their entirety.

Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes is a source of national pride and culture welcoming over 500,000 visitors per year. Vandalized in August 2022, and expertly cleaned by Alerta Graffiti using Vanish Paint Remover and Bare Brick Stone & Masonry Graffiti Remover.

This beautiful and bold new structure crosses the LA River and connects Elysian Valley on the west side of the river and Taylor Yard on the east side. In the weeks prior to the grand opening graffiti vandalism spread to every surface from one side to the next.
